Christmas Visits

OK, all you Watsons east of the Mississippi!

Who is going to be home around the Christmas holidays? We thought we'd leave Hendersonville and make the rounds to visit everyone who will allow us to come. Our stops would be in Durham, Virginia, Philadelphia, upstate New York, Kentucky and down to Alabamy. Anybody want us to come see them? Give us your feedback and we'll make our plans.

See you soon.

Warm Weather, Anyone?

So, I read Laila's bit about wanting to move to Arizona, so I thought I'd show you this picture of what we did while in AZ over Thanksgiving! Of course, now we're in a few inches of snow, but hey- we got the best of both worlds this month! Wakeboarding a week ago, and snowboarding this week!

My Big Adventure in the Barn

I was out shoveling saw dust in the barn and I found a dead mouse in the sawdust. But it was a fresh dead mouse! At first I just put it in the trash can, and then I saw that the barn kitties were actually in the barn instead hanging out in the house like they always are! So I picked up the little dead mousie by the tail (I was wearing gloves) and prayed that I was actually dead, and wasn't going to start moving all of a sudden! I held it out to one of the cats and said. . ."here kitty kitty. . ." It made a viscious miaw-y growl and grabbed it. ..then ate it. It was the peaceful kitty in the back of the picture. And he always looks that sweet or sweeter, Looks can be deceiving.

My New Job

I thought you would all like to see a picture of my new office. Weuld you all please notice how clean it is??? I feel so proud. I have learned some things about running my office. I used to have romantic notions about using lots of clean sweet smelling straw, and how the horses would walk in and go. . ."ahh, what a nice stall." I have had to let go of that notion in favor of useing just a tiny bit of bedding and shoveling out a lot less gunk.

This is SugarTyme. My Palamino "client. I really like her, and if my human clients decide that horses aren't really going to work for them, they could just leave her with me.

This is Orion, She is really cute in real life, but I guess not very photogenic?

And here are my clothes after I finish doing horse chores! My jeans, socks, and oh, yes, gunky shoes! These shoes had me praying for the big freeze! Because walking on top of 9 inches of water mud and poo is preferable to walking in it! I was get out three fresh pair of socks a day. One day I decided to try to just not wear socks and I totally got a huge blister and tore it open on the top of my foot! Was Nice!

Soul of Determination

So there might actually be no one more unstopable than Lincoln Pace. He was sick Wednesday, stayed home Thursday with a fever. Friday I told him he couldn't go to school because it hadn't been 24 hours since he was fever free. He cried a little and then dried up. Then he got dressed. Found his backpack. Found his library books, Found his take home folder. He just kept getting ready all morning long till finally I gave in. I should have known what was coming when Nathan announced he was taking the scouts on a winter campout that would very cold and that the little boys absolutely would not be able to go.
So over the next few hours, he dressed, found socks, boots, a sleeping bag, a pillow case to put the sleeping bag in, and hat. And put them all ready to go by the door and sat on them!!!!! Guess who got to go!!!!!
