Just in case you weren't ready to go to the beach this summer, here are a few pictures from Tuesday. The forecast was 75 degrees and on the spur of the moment we decided that we'd rather go to the beach than the state park to celebrate the beautiful January weather. Here are some of the pictures from the day. The colors were beautiful, the sun was warm, and when it went down the sunset was unbelievable. What a wonderful day!

We were probably 30 miles south of Camp LeJune, at most--we figured the helicopters came from there. One would fly by every now and then. So I took a picture!

Everyone but CL put their feet in the water ,but it was COLD!! So that's as far as it went.

ok--I do know that I spelled camp Lejuene or whatever it is wrong!!!

I know that Jeremy has already posted but i would like to go on the record and say how extremely jealous I am (especially after looking out are window and seeing the freezing rain/ice come down) because just a couple years ago I could do that very same thing.

Maria--I'm sure you've had more beach days than the rest of us combined! I was just thinking that I'd like to try living in Wilmington for a while... ;)

Yeah, but Maria, you are so cute and adorable that it kind of makes up for everything! Ask Jer, he will agree with me!!! Girls night out at the beach anyone? I still think we should all get richer and start doing it in the bahamas!!!1

I a soooo ready for the beach at this point. My problem is that by July, I may actually be so happy in our new house that I may have a hard time leaving it!

The Helo is a Marine CH-53 Sea Stallion, from Lejeune or more likely from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, right near Lejeune.
