Sewing diva
Well, Jenny is at it again. The last week or so, she's been jamming on the sewing machine. Thanks again for the seat, Marg. It is awesome, and has a fresh, new look. Donor material came from my old Marine Corps cammies, along with name tapes and an apache patch for good measure. I helped a little bit, to bolster the little awning with some jerry rigged plastic and coat hanger, but Jenny's artwork is the real deal.
In other news, that Cali monster continues to baffle me with her ability to grow both mentally and physically. Closing in on 28 months, she can be the sweetest girl. She quotes movie lines, sings a bunch of church songs... color me impressed. What a great girl. Jenny still has a month or so to go. She is definitely 'Mama-hottie'!
Does North Carolina have sand like the last picture? No sir, it does not. A softer, whiter sand you will not find. Destin, Fla. is truly a reunion place in the waiting.

Ben! It took me forever to figure out what seat you were talking about!!!! I didn't notice it in the pictures the first time I looked. I think it was because it was camo. It just tricked my eye. But you are right. Jenny's work is the real deal. It looks awesome. And no one is going to have one like that. I am also liking the sand.
Oh my gosh--the car seat is SO cool! I'm so impressed that Jenny did that--way to go!
Jenny! you are awesome! I thought about recovering my carseat cover, but that is as far as I got. It looks like you did a really really great job. And Ben and Jenny, Cali is adorable. And I am envious of that sand, and the probability that the weather was warm while you were there. Right now we aren't passing 25 degrees at all. Brrrr....
In western New York right now we are WISHING for 25 degrees. We've been in the teens all week. But today should be warmer. Then high teens and low twenties for a week.
Up here yesterday it was 24*. I just thought I'd put that in. And we got DUMPED with snow. Love it!
Sheesh- looking through this Watson blog is enough to give anyone a complex. You've got sewing, remodeling, hard-working and overall extremely talented people on here. And, taking into account all the wonderful things your families are doing, how beautiful your children are, and what an amazing job you ladies are doing raising them. I hope you all read this and can be proud of yourselves today. Truly, I am so impressed/blown away by how capable and talented you all are.
Isn't that funny that we see each other's talents so clearly (and long to have them) and do not see our own?
Jenny - that is a fabulous car seat cover - and you should start sewing for a living - you are so good at it! Not like me - inside out, upside down, yeuck!!!
When we all live together in Laila's combine, or in my cabannas, you can be the seamstress. Let's see, we now have 2 seamstresses, two teachers, one hawaii vacation planner, one decorator/psychotherapist/self image builder, one ebay magnate/fixer upper dude, one cake decorator/cook, one Helicopter pilot (for those quick trips to the hospital for food poisoning), one soldier, one computer whiz, one decorator/architect/tile layer, one mechanic, and one buisnessman to keep us all afloat. And I didn't even factor in our spouses!
LOL, Andra--that's quite a list! But I'm not sure I want to live in Laila's COMBINE!!
Amber, that is quite the thought. I certainly don't usually think of myself that way. Though I do plan a mean Hawaiian vacation!
im confused, Im all about having the family close. But if your not counting spouses. Who is the Computer wiz? or the Mechanic? or the Businessman. Love you. Jer.
Hello - Jeff is the computer whiz, Sam is the mechanic and you, Jeremy, are definately da buisnessman!
Cindy, I was about to be really offended that you didn't want to live near the rest of us, until Bob pointed out that he does not want to live in a COMBINE either! Thanks for giving me a good laugh.... Will you live in our comune:?

What if our combine is spread over a square mile, on beach front/mountain property. Does that peak anyone's interest. I am sure we can make this thing work people. Just work with me a little.
Actually my mission president does live in a sort of combine with his family. They bought a subdivision. Or plots of land and all built together. It may help that they all work in the family buisness in the same texas town however. "designing calvin klein lengerie" woot. Thats may not be a reasonable plan for us however. But on the bright side sam just graduated... and Maria and I will be looking to settle down in the nearish future so the sky really is the limit.
Andra, I'm all for it, as long as it's not a piece of farm equipment! ;)
I personally go for the beach front mountain property!
Beach mountains? I know the place. Um places. Camp Pendleton, CA., All of Hawaii, and Phu(poo)ket, Thailand. Although Bali, Indonesia and McKay, Australia are world famous and were top notch as well. And the shopping!!! Even an burly apache flying killer manly man like me can dig those kinds of deals!
ok ben. You get us set up, fly us there and I am ready
I'm *all* for Hawaii!!!!!!!!
Price to cool/beauty ratio, Bali Indonesia, or Phuket Thailand smoke Hawaii. And any of the other places mention flat out stomp it for shopping.
Both sound so cool--as long as there's not going to be a tsunami!
