For those of you who may not have known, this past semester I was Editor-in-Chief of UVSC's literary journal, Touchstones. As of tomorrow, the journal will launch and my duties as Chief Watson will end. I've been working two years to get to this point, and I just thought this issue looked so cool I would share. Done At Last!

That is cool Amber, both you being Cheif, and the neat looking pic. So, why does your position end when it launches? I guess I don't completely understand what you are talking about.
Amber, it's beautiful! But we want to see inside! Is there any way we could get a copy?

It looks so cool! And from CL's experience editing mock journals in her class last fall I can't imagine the work that went into creating a real one with more than 4 essays! I want to see it when I come next month!
In answer to your questions: I've kept plenty of copies if anyone is interested in seeing it. This semester we sifted through some 300 submissions to compile this journal, with 54 pieces of art, poetry and prose making it in the final book. As a professional policy, when working as an Editor, (Either Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Technical Editor, etc.) you don't submit. From here, the issue is finished and published, available for sale and distribution. Luckily, they only allow you to do this job once, and now I know why. It was so much work, and it takes a toll out on your other courses (and life). But we had our huge launch party tonight with over 150 faculty, staff and students, and I'm happy to say I'm done! However, no- I'm not done with my degree just yet. I still have two semesters to go.
