We have a ward party tonight. We were supposed to come up with an unusual recipe using the secret ingredient. Any guesses? The other ingredients are powdered sugar, peanut butter and obviously chocolate.
Sheesh - you guys are no fun! Yes, or ward just had a spud festival last night and we were supposed to bring creative things made with potatoes. They were very very very sugary to say the least. It did make for a fun ward dinner though!
Very funny sam! I just would have never guessed you could make candy with potatoes. First, you peel, dice and boil a small (egg sized) potato till soft. Then you mix in 1 lb. powdered sugar. After that, you roll it out like dough and spread peanut butter on it. Then you roll it up jellyroll style and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then you slice it. Weird, but fun and waaaay too sweet!

Good guess, Jeannie. Cause I have *NO* idea!
I would have guessed potatoes, too. There was a lady in our ward who would make these!

I thought maybe potatoes too. Or something with beans, but thats just me. I know you can make fudge out beans, yum. that sounds good!
I've actually had the bean fudge and believe it our not, it is good!
I have made the bean fudge and as long as you blend up the beans (no visual bean pieces) then you can fool people!
