Sneak Peak

Hey everyone! Well we finally did it. NOt only have we found our camera cord, but we also finally started on our backsplash and countertops! Yes, it may take another week to finish now that Brent is spending 3 days this week at the Trump casino in Atlantic City (darn gambling) but you will get the idea from the pics. I think first I will try to send a before pic, and maybe and intermediate pic.

Big baby

So, jenny and me taken cali over ta dothan fer a pre- gettin her braces off meetin, then goed over fer some belly pictures n' checkup of meself's man-child. We were bettin', since he was bout a half pound heftier than he shoulda beed two weeks ago, how much he'd be weighin. Her says half a pound, says I .65. Well we thought 4.75 was the average accordin to the website, and he done weighed in at 5.2ish. We was both close. Time we got home, Jenny checked it up and the averidge number was 3.75, so that 5.2 puts him more than a pound heavier than average, in two weeks. I guess 18ish ounces heavy. Might not be no Levi the Hut, but nigh on too. We'll see. Oh, I've beeen reading the new R.A. Salvatore book, and using dwarfspeak. I'm still geekin' out!!

nuttin but muttin to eat

Jenny and I hadn't planned on going anywhere for Christmas, since her doctor has advised us to err on the side of doing less. This season usually allows two four day Holidays, one for Christmas, one for New Years, but here at flight school, if you don't take leave over those two freebies, you have to do funeral details. I ended up having to burn ten days of leave to get my 8 free days off just to stay at home. Bummer.
That being said, being at home was nice, restive. Christmas was great, and it was nice to see Cali so excited with Christmas. We decided it was time for Cali to get a pet. We got her a gerbil. It's name is Jeremy. He is so cute and loves to run around his exercise wheel. Cali is teaching him how to sing and do stand up comedy. He's a rad pet.
We just upped and went to Disney World on the 26th and stayed at the totally rad Shades of Green military hotel at the park, we already had tickets, so just had to pay for the hotel. We got Jenny an electric cart so she didn't have to walk. We didn't do so many rides, mainly the Safari ride, small world, and the marry go round, um elevendy billion times. Cali likes melly go lounds (that's chinese for... you get it.) Anyway, now it's back to class. Happi Knew Yeer's'!!

Camera cord rejoicing

Just so everyone knows, I FINALLY found my camera cord. Now, if only my camera still works after stepping on it the other day. And no, I didn't take this picture with my camera, nor did I upload it onto my computer using my camera cord. Too much work. But I am rejoicing, like the picture says in a thousand words

A little humor for our day....

Why did the chicken cross the road?

DR. PHIL : ' The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on 'THIS' side of the road before it goes after the problem on the 'OTHER SIDE' of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his 'CURRENT' problems before adding 'NEW' problems '.

OPRAH: ' Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.'

GEORGE W. BUSH: 'We don't really care why the chicken crossed the
road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.'

COLIN POWELL: 'Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road...' .

ANDERSON COOPER - CNN: 'We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.'

JOHN KERRY: 'Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.'

PAT BUCHANAN: 'To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.'

MARTHA STEWART: 'No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.'

DR SEUSS:
'Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes, the chicken crossed the road,
but why it crossed I've not been told.'

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: 'To die in the rain. Alone.'

JERRY FALWELL: 'Because the chicken was gay! Can't you people see the plain truth? That's why they call it the 'other side.' Yes, my friends, that chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay, too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination that the liberal media white washes with seemingly harmless phrases like 'the other side'. That chicken should not be crossing the road. It's as plain and as simple as that.'

GRANDPA: 'In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.'

BARBARA WALTERS: 'Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its life long dream of crossing the road.'

JOHN LENNON: 'Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.'

ARISTOTLE: 'It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.'

BILL GATES: 'I have just released eChicken2007, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your check book. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken. This new platform is much more stable and will never cra...#@&&^(C% ........ reboot.'

ALBERT EINSTEIN: 'Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken '

BILL CLINTON: 'I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition of chicken .'

AL GORE: 'I invented the chicken!'

COLONEL SANDERS: 'Did I miss one?'

DICK CHENEY: 'Where's my gun?'

AL SHARPTON: 'Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens.'

HILLARY CLINTON: ' I have vast experience with chickens and if elected, I will ensure that EVERY chicken has the ability to cross any road they desire.'

Problem Solved

I have talked to Ramona, and everything is OK.

My daughters and I have started a night for ourselves since they are older. Last year it was a cruise. Sadly, this year it will NOT be. :( For my MADNO (mother and daughters night out) which we have started to have we are probably going to go to a Time out for Women or women and girls. Somewhere between here and NC.

All women and girls related to John Grant are invited. From grandma on down. . . This would include Ramona, her girls, and our daughters. We get to decide which of out own daughters we want to bring. So you old fogies gird up your loins. And you young non married girls. . .grab your bathing suits. This is gonna be great.

This isn't a traveling type thing. More all female relatives who are close enough. Or who happen to be in the area. Or who own a private jet.

This might be the last time we have Ramona here in the East to do this, maybe she will continue this out West when the time comes.
