Been here down in Arizona for almost a month and the weather is usally clear and high 80's. I've gotten a about 10 hours flying in, and putting it back on has not been hard like I thought it would be. Jenny found a cheap enough place for a month at a winter golf resort of all places, so we have that for the famiree. Coolness!!

Guess what fell from heaven?
Last weekend, when dad was moving the old washer and dryer, he was startled when he saw this lying on the ground. Having not seen it in so many years, I imagine he had to look up and see if there was anything else falling out of Mom's heavenly purse.
Hmmm, I wonder if she's been driving the Mazda pickup up there?

Who is coming to dinner?
Bob and I happened across an entire pot of nacho cheese and a 6 lb. box of tortilla chips. We think that we need help eating them. Is anyone interested in coming over next Sunday at 6pm for a Nacho fiesta? Jeff and Amber are already in and have agreed to bring seasoned hamburger. We have lots and lots of sour cream and guacamole. Anyone else? What else would be fun to put on them (besides jalapeƱos) Someone should bring Ben's favorite Mexican apple juice soda because it goes with the meal, right?

NC state fair fireworks
EDIT: check out this link
Well I recently uploaded a new youtube video... the last couple of minutes of the fireworks when we went to the state fair, and, I got this message about 2 hours after I posted it! :)

Yo,
My name is Mason Meyer with Zambelli fireworks. I am the lead fireworks technician for the NC State Fair fireworks shows. A friend sent me a link to your video. I never really get to see the show since I am firing it from the ground very close. Awesome video and I loved the music. Thanks for posting.

Finally, a reall wall hanging, on my wall....
Ok sisters...thanks for your advise. As usual, I took it, and then did something totally different. There are too many things I would need to change to be happy with it in my living room right now, so I thought I would just go ahead and put it in my kitchen. There is already my black bench, as seen in the picture, as well as the word "CAFE" works better there. So, here it is! What do you think. I like it! For $4 not too bad.

Pardon the dust
Just as a warning - my mom asked me to redo the layout for the blog. So there may be a little bit of construction for the next day or two while I get it all hammered out.

Fatal Addiction
I finally get it. It only took being married 18 years and being broke! I fianlly understand why Dad and Mom used to can can can like crazy people. For all of my life, I have avidly avoided canning anything but peaches and jam (because I love how they taste). But now I have entered an entirely new phase in my life where I will can ANYTHING that is free! The reason? Because then I don't have to BUY IT!!!! I just can't believe it took me this long to understand why mom and dad did what they did!
Yesterday, I had a friend and a half (one had only one good arm to use because one was terribly broken) come over and help me can some really ripe pears that we were given by the fruit farm where Robby is working part time. We had one camp stove going on the back porch with 2 canners, and one going inside. We started at about 10:30 am and finished at 5:15 and got 84 quarts of pears done!
Alone, I could have only done 20-25 in one day, so this worked out great! Now I am in a desperate search for more canning jars!!!!!

Fun Summer
I was going through some pictures and found some from this very eventful summer!
Will and Matthew were being helpful rolling out pizza dough. They were even taking turns!
When we turned around for a second, we had cute tire tracks from the tractor in the dough.
Grandpa Doc and Nanna came for a night and it was fun to have even more people together!
Cindy and kids came to visit on the way to Utah and on the way back.
We had an enjoyable summer. We are sorry we were not able to come to the beach this year but were glad we were able to see a few of you!

As Sisters in Zion, Does Anyone Need a Nap?!
Hey, Watson Women, as Latter-day Saint women, we are practically obsessed with anxiously engaging ourselves in good causes. Maybe it's subliminal.
Glancing through the hymnal last Sunday I noted that as sisters in Zion, we who are called to serve are all enlisted to go marching, marching forward because the world has need of willing (wo)men to all press on scattering sunshine. We wonder if we have done any good in the world today because we have been given much and want to do what is right, keep the commandments, press forward with the Saints, choose the right, and put our shoulders to the wheel going where He wants us to go. However, as the morning breaks high on the mountain top, truth reflects upon our senses, and while we still believe that sweet is the work, we also realize that we have work enough to do ere the sun goes down. And thus we ask Thee ere we part, where can we turn for peace?
Anyone else need a nap?
Love to all! Ramona

Elder Holland's Talk
Hey, Family!
Did you tune into the Saturday Afternoon session of General Conference? Elder Holland told a story of Clyn Barrus, a little 7-year-old boy who crossed the raging Teton River to bring the cows home. Clyn was the father of my son, Cory's, wife Jennie. It was Jennie's mother, Marilyn Barrus, who met your Dad in the Provo Temple and subsequently introduced us. Now you know the "rest of the story".
If you didn't hear the talk, tune in.
Love to all.
Nanna
