Things that bring me joy

Amber's picture of the daffodils inspired me to share. When I'm in Utah/Idaho it's the tulips that bring me joy. I just love them, and am sad every spring that tulips don't really thrive in NC. But NC in the spring brings me such delight. I love this place. Thanks dad for living in NC so that we would consider taking a job here. I can't believe that in 2 months we will have been here 13 years! Anyway, here are some pictures from my walks yesterday. Enjoy!

Cindy, your pictures are gorgeous! Seeing all those trees and flowers make me homesick for the east.

Amber--in the olden days of cameras, when we were all buying film, we went on a trip to Hawaii with Russ's family. I took 24 rolls of pictures with my then-new camera. Russ's brother took one or two rolls. I felt almost embarrassed around him--I was "snap, snap, snap" while he was so carefully framing his few shots. But I have sense realized that the way I get the good shots is to take lot of shots. I don't think I have a good enough eye to just frame once and shoot once. So the 4 you see are from about 80 from my walk. But I did get a few that are really beautiful!

Cindy, I really like all of the pictures, but that first one is amazing. I love it.

That's my favorite view ever. It's just up Get-a-Way from the pool and is beautiful in every season!!

Thank goodness for digital photography, right? But still, you definitely have an eye and a talent for it.

Thus. . .thank heavens for digital cameras!!!!! I mean really. we can all take all the pics we want, and then digitally enhance them! So we call all be more like Jeff! Total miracle of technology.

Yes, it's nice to have a nice big camera card and to be able to take pictures to my heart's delight. Because it probably takes me 10 shots to get one good one!

Margaret,

Enhance your pictures all you want, you still won't look as good as me. :)
